1. Cleaning
1) After eating every day, the denture should be taken out and rinsed with water to avoid affecting the health of the oral mucosa.
2) To sleep at night, take out the denture, wash the denture with a toothbrush, soak it in cold water, and keep the denture clean.
3) Use a soft-bristled toothbrush, cotton towel and soap for cleaning, and do not use toothpaste. Special denture cleaning tablets/liquids, 75% medical alcohol can also be used for cleaning and soaking, but care should be taken to rinse under running water after use to remove residual liquid. It should not be treated with chemicals.
2. Wearing time
1) Dentures should generally be worn every day, if they are not used for several days or longer, there may be a situation where dentures cannot be worn.
2) In general, it should be replaced or modified every 5 years. After using removable dentures, go to the hospital for annual review, if the denture does not fit with the oral tissue, or the denture is severely worn, the patient may not be able to perceive it, but it still needs to be replaced or modified.
